What you’ll do as the Quality Control Manager / Laboratory Manager You will oversee the Quality Control (QC) laboratory, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Responsibilities will include: – Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of analysts, helping them develop their skills and ensuring high-quality testing procedures. Testing: Conducting and verifying analytical testing using HPLC and GC techniques. Standards: Maintaining and improving lab standards, ensuring a clean and organised work environment. Manufacturing: Collaborating with the production team to ensure schedules are met, enabling the business to operate efficiently. Continuous Improvement: Driving continuous improvement by developing and validating new methods and techniques to enhance laboratory processes. What we’re looking for from the Quality Control Manager / Laboratory Manager Education: A degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, forensic science, pharmaceutical science, or similar. Experience: A background in the pharmaceutical industry, with a solid understanding of GMP. This could have been gained as a laboratory manager, QC manager, quality control manager, etc. Skills: Hands-on experience with HPLC and GC and the willingness to carry out testing using them. Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams and prioritise effectively. What you’ll receive: Salary: £50,000 – £55,000, dependent on skills and experience. Bonus: After probation, you will be eligible for a discretionary bonus of up to 20%, subject to personal and company performance.
