We are recruiting for an HR truck driver for a waste role working with a local government, principally looking after the bin depot with a view to the future driving side arm for residential collection. Experience in front lift, hook lift and compactor will be considered favourably. You will require a current LF Forklift licence and suitable experience.
If you are currently or are interested in becoming a waste truck driver, then this is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door with a very stable employer of choice in the Ipswich region. The role will start as casual labour hire but there will likely be opportunities to apply for full-time positions in the near future.
Key duties include:- Operation of waste trucks, bin repair truck, side arm, front lift, rear load
- Basic maintenance of vehicle, keeping it clean, doing vehicle inspections and pre-start safety checks, reporting any required maintenance
- Delivery of new bins
- Current HR class Licence with a clean driving record
- Current Forklift Licence
- Previous aligned operational experience such as machine operation, excavator, skid steer or forklift
- Previous side arm experience highly regarded
- Proven commitment to safe operation of vehicles, training and a mentor program is provided
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Ipswich area
- Two references and availability to start ASAP
If successful, you will be required to pass a medical assessment and receive immunisations against Hepatitis A and B and Q Fever before performing any work within the role.
Good casual hourly rate ($42.73/hour), plenty of overtime available ideally seeking availability to commence ASAP. Roles for a modern fleet of well-maintained trucks.
