Spire Southampton has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Phlebotomist to join our bank. You will work within our Outpatient department alongside a hardworking and dedicated team where every day is different.
Spire Southampton provides a wide range of services including day care and inpatient and outpatient services. The main activity is elective (planned) surgery and more complex procedures such as cardiac and spinal surgery are supported by the onsite critical care facilities. The hospital works in partnership with local NHS acute hospital trusts, for example in recent provision of robotic surgery, and there is a large refurbished outpatient department along with extensive diagnostic imaging services.
Duties and responsibilities:
- To take venous bloods safely from patients on the wards and outpatient departments.
- Ensure samples are ready for collection on time.
- You will be working with a computer using SAP, WINPATH and Cyber lab system that is to be collected and collated.
Who we’re looking for:
- Recognised Phlebotomy training & experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to learn new skills.
- Good time management.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to prioritise the demands of changing workload.
Hours: The department is open Monday - Saturday (with occasional Sundays and Bank Holidays). Opening hours Monday - Friday 08.00 - 21.00.
Contract: Bank - 0 hours contract.
