The Role: As an Architectural Technologist, you will report directly to the Technical Manager and Managing Director, taking on key responsibilities, including:

  • Assisting with planning applications
  • Conducting measured building surveys
  • Obtaining quotations for consultants
  • Preparing Building Regulations and working drawings packages
  • Carrying out site inspections and attending design team meetings
  • Liaising with client bodies, statutory authorities and design teams
  • Coordinating and reviewing design information
  • Ensuring compliance with client briefs and quality assurance procedures
  • Conducting design and health & safety risk assessments
  • Implementing NBS specifications

Architectural Technologist Requirements:

  • Relevant degree qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an architectural practice
  • Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling) will be highly desirable; as will proficiency with ArchiCAD - however training will be provided to the right candidate
  • Ability to work across all RIBA work-stages and demonstrate a thorough understanding of building construction and UK Building Regulations
  • Strong project management skills
  • Willingness to embrace the collaborative culture
  • A driving license is required for site visits
  • Experience overseeing and mentoring team members
