MEICA Sub Agent

The Role

As a MEICA Sub Agent, you will manage construction sites to meet project delivery goals, ensuring health and safety, quality, environmental standards, and cost control, focusing on MEICA elements. You will assist the Electrical and Mechanical Installation engineers with technical documentation, including commissioning plans, ITPs, and QA records.

You will oversee project delivery, working closely with Contracts Managers, engineers, and QS to ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Projects range from £200k to over £10m, requiring you to drive efficiencies, lead MEICA work, and ensure high standards of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage site operations for civil and water sector projects, focusing on MEICA work
  • Supervise MEICA installation, providing guidance to teams
  • Lead teams of engineers and forepersons to deliver work safely and to quality standards
  • Develop and implement project plans, RAMS, ITPs, and waste management plans
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and support installation and commissioning activities
  • Coordinate with engineers for site acceptance testing and telemetry commissioning
  • Ensure quality and standards compliance in MEICA installation
  • Support design reviews and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Maximize project commercial performance and produce construction programs
  • Manage procurement schedules and resource planning
  • Assist in preparing MEICA designs and specifications

Client Interface

Represent the company professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful commissioning.

Cost Control

  • Manage project budgets, maximize value, and control costs
  • Maintain detailed records and challenge inefficiencies
  • Identify value engineering opportunities

Reporting

Produce accurate monthly reports, chair site meetings, and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Timely reporting
  • Achievement of business and client KPIs
  • Accurate forecasting and risk mitigation
  • Profitability and relationship management

  • Customers, stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers

About You

Essential: Experience in MEICA and civil environments, contract knowledge, strong communication, relevant qualifications (City & Guilds, HNC, etc.), leadership skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Desirable: CEng MICE, Primavera P6, NEC/JCT contracts knowledge, industry-specific qualifications, and industry experience.
