An exciting opportunity has arisen within Community Learning and Development (CLD) for multiple CLD Support Workers (Adult Learning) to support the operational development and delivery of Adult Learning in North Lanarkshire. Working as part of the Adult Learning and wider CLD teams, the post holder will ensure the delivery of community-based adult learning and support for adults from disadvantaged communities across North Lanarkshire. This involves working collaboratively with partner agencies, third sector and volunteers to provide adult learning programmes. The post holder will also monitor and evaluate services provided through effective planning.

The roles will focus on delivering community-based adult learning aligning with the priorities of the CLD Adult Learning Plan which can include digital, adult literacy & numeracy, health and wellbeing and literacy.

An enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will have good communication skills, the ability to work well as part of a team and be confident to deliver a variety of learning programmes. You must have relevant qualifications at SCQF level 5 and above and previous experience of community-based work with young people or adults.

The posts will involve travel across North Lanarkshire. Hours can be worked across the week, which may include day and evening. The CLD Support Worker will be line managed by a CLD Worker within the locality team.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to starting this post. These positions are temporary until 31st March 2026.

  • 7 hours per week - Monday to Friday
  • 14 hours per week – Monday to Friday
  • 17.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Hours can be negotiated between 09:00 – 21:00, this will be discussed further at interview stage.
