My client is a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor. They are presently looking to recruit, on a permanent basis a Contracts Manager with a solid background in Civil Engineering and Groundworks Projects. They operate throughout Southern England and specialise the following sectors; Site Clearance Roads & Sewers Reinforced Concrete Bulk Earthmoving Contaminated Ground External WorksYou must be a driven individual with extensive experience within drainage, foundations, residential groundwork's and ideally S278 experience. These projects are generally valued at between £500k and £2m. Duties: Management of the Project/Site Manager, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers. Production of monthly reports Liaise with the Senior QS (Quantity Surveyor), Site QS. Ensure production, review, and monitor the delivery of the project/site health, safety, environment & quality plans. Develop effective relationships with the clients to maximise the perception & reputation of the business and secure profitable work. Taking responsibility for a contract at handover from the estimator Plan & monitor resource requirements. Promote a culture of integration, continuous improvement and use of best practice.
