We at Work Lyf Group arerecruitingfor a Mechanical Fitter to join our clients Maintenance Team, based in Stoke-on-Trent Salary for Mechanical Fitter: £27,948 per annum which equates to £14.92 ph As a Mechanical Fitter you’ll be responsible for maintaining, overhauling and refurbishing rolling stock in accordance with the relevant regime and specification. This position is for permanent day shift working Monday to Thursday. 7:00 – 16:30 Responsibilities To maintain / overhaul and refurbish rolling stock in accordance with the relevant regime and specification. This includes but is not limited to fault finding, rectification work, damage repairs, modification and work arising. To ensure that stock levels are kept and stock is stored correctly. To order / reorder stock as required. To carry out damage reports / overload inspections on behalf of the customer and provide all documentation including photographs when required. Complete all relevant documentation relating to all work carried out on any rolling stock vehicle. To correctly file / store all rolling stock documentation. May be required to work at other outstation depots Hours 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday. There is also opportunity for overtime.
