Children\’s Support Worker – SEN School (Blackpool)

Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Are you a compassionate and dedicated support worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? We are currently seeking a skilled Children’s Support Worker to join a welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Blackpool.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in support work or healthcare to transition into an educational setting where your care and commitment can have a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
- Assist with personal care and emotional regulation as required.
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure each child’s individual needs are met.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all pupils.
- Support children during classroom activities, playtime, and mealtimes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in support work or a healthcare setting is essential.
- A calm, patient, and caring approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
