Job Title: Warehouse & Transport Operative

Location: Broadbridge Heath, West Sussex

Salary: £28,000 per annum (Pro rata for part-time roles, based on a 40-hour week)

Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays

Reporting To: General Manager

Overview:

Propak UK is seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse & Transport Operative to manage all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations across two sites. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable working independently. A valid UK driving licence is essential, and candidates must have their own vehicle due to the location of the role.

Working Hours:

·The final position will be either 40 or 24 hours per week, with a minimum of 3 working days, depending on the successful applicant, their experience, and the role requirements. The working schedule will be negotiated accordingly.

·Includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Key Responsibilities:

·Oversee and carry out warehouse operations across two sites, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all logistics tasks.

·Daily order fulfilment for a nationwide retail store and processing of incoming daily orders.

·Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming goods and deliveries, ensuring items are stored correctly and any discrepancies are reported promptly.

·Deliver goods using company vehicles. Occasionally, use of a personal vehicle may be required (mileage reimbursed at standard rates).

·Maintain adequate stock levels of all warehouse consumables.

·Unload containers as and when deliveries are scheduled.

·Maintain and nurture relationships with couriers, delivery drivers, and suppliers of warehouse goods.

·Prepare and dispatch orders by securely boxing or palletising goods for delivery via dedicated company vehicles or overnight courier services.

·Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and safety of the warehouse at all times.

·Demonstrate flexibility with working hours when container deliveries or other time-sensitive tasks arise.

·Provide support to the Design Manager with CAD table production tasks as needed.

·Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager.

Requirements:

·Full UK Driving Licence – Essential.

·Own Vehicle – Essential (due to location and occasional use for deliveries).

·Must be aged 25+ due to insurance limitations.

·Forklift licence – Desirable but not essential.

·Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.

·Strong organisational skills and ability to work on your own initiative.

·Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers and logistics partners.

·Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 25-30kg as well as general manual handling tasks.
