Have you been looking for that next step up, where you can lead the development of electromechanical products used for research all over the world? Do you enjoy being part of a small business where you can wear multiple hats? In this role, you’ll be responsible for engineering and product development, and the aim of the game is to get products to market and achieve project deadlines.

You’ll be joining a company of less than 40 people, with a global presence and excellent reputation in the market. So, your team will be a manageable size, there isn’t so many people that you’ll forget everyone’s name, and most importantly, you will be able to make a huge impact as part of the management team, and contribute to the development of the roadmap.

It will be a balance between hands-on NPD work and managing a team. From establishing specifications through to prototype creation, we need someone with a bias towards electronics and software. You will also support the wider business, assisting test engineers with fault finding and helping other colleagues and customers with technical issues.

But where do the ideas come from? Like any business, there are lots of avenues, but the main driver will be customers. You’ll be able to go on a few trips a year to meet with customers and understand what’s needed in their labs, getting ideas for new NPD projects.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a new product development environment of electro-mechanical equipment.
  • A track record in achieving project deadlines and delivering.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing priorities.
