Being a kitchen assistant means playing a vital role in maintaining the nutrition and well-being of our residents.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the chef in preparing and serving nutritious meals.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Follow food safety procedures and assist in stock control and kitchen organisation.
- Help with dishwashing and general kitchen duties.
- Work as part of a team to provide a positive dining experience for residents.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential—full training provided.
- A can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and team working skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining hygiene standards.
- A friendly and reliable nature.
As this is a Bank position, to provide cover as and when needed, such as for annual leave or sick leave the hours and days you work will vary. This job requires an Enhanced DBS to be carried out.
