About the Role: We are currently seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support students with Autism and complex needs in a large secondary school setting. This inclusive and well-resourced environment caters to students aged 11–19, providing tailored education and support that promotes independence and wellbeing. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a specialist setting with a passionate and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with Autism and complex learning needs.
- Assist with communication strategies, sensory activities, and behaviour support plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver a holistic learning experience.
- Help create a positive and structured environment that meets students' individual needs.
Skills and Experience:
- Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (or Willingness to apply and pay for a new one)
- Experience supporting students with Autism, complex needs, or PMLD.
- Calm, patient, and proactive approach to behaviour and learning support.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
