We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Northumberland as a Customer Service & Business Skills Teacher. This position is offered on a permanent basis, 37 hours per week.

Site Information
HMP Northumberland is a Category C men's prison, located in Morpeth near the village of Acklington in Northumberland, England. The team's aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe and where causes of prison stress are minimised. The prison's mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months
- Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or commit to work towards within a specified timeframe (Applies to Teachers in YOI only)
