Electrical Supervisor

S&D Trade Recruitment is working with an expanding energy contractor delivering projects across the UK in solar farms, battery storage, gas peaking plants, and EV charging infrastructure for private customers and DNOs. We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Supervisor for a long-term contract role to join this ongoing programme. This self-employed role (CIS) offers a competitive rate of £26 to £30 per hour, depending on experience, with approximately 50 hours per week. A company van will be provided after 3 to 4 months. Full accommodation is provided in a private house with full amenities (not a hotel). Own hand and power tools are required. Immediate start available. Travel is required across the UK. Electrical Supervisor Duties: * Supervise electrical installations on large-scale renewable energy and storage projects. * Lead teams to ensure compliance with electrical and safety regulations. * Provide hands-on support including testing, commissioning, and fault-finding. * Liaise with project managers and report progress. * Train and mentor junior electricians. * Work in various outdoor environments including rooftops and construction sites. * Work away from home during the week with variable hours and some overtime. * Adhere strictly to safety procedures and always wear appropriate PPE. Electrical Supervisor Requirements. * NVQ Level 3, AM2, ECS Gold Card, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. * Inspection & Testing qualifications (2391 or 2392). * Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical installation, preferably in renewables or utility-scale projects. * Own transport with a full UK driving licence (mileage reimbursed at 25p per mile initially). * Strong leadership, fault-finding and team management skills. * Own hand and power tools required.
