Our client is currently recruiting a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician who can apply mechanical & electrical technical expertise to safely carry out planned, reactive and emergency work scopes as assigned from the maintenance plan within the maintenance system (CMMS). You will be part of a four-week on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that assigned work scopes are carried out safely, to the highest quality and on time to meet the requirements of the maintenance plan, maximising plant uptime and protecting Company assets.
- Ensure Inspection and Testing regime is completed as per Maintenance Plan.
- Ensure a quick response time to reactive and emergency maintenance tasks to maintain a safe operation, maximise plant uptime and protect company assets.
- Ensure required maintenance data is entered accurately and on time into the CMMS and complete any other maintenance records/logs as required accurately and on time.
- Be involved in root cause analysis investigations for reactive and emergency maintenance to help prevent recurrence of the issue.
- Strictly follow documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Risk Assessments (RA) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) for all tasks to ensure safe systems of work and to ensure work is completed to the highest standard.
- Assist where required with the documentation of SOP's and RA.
- Ensure procurement and goods-in processes are adhered to and that good practices are followed regarding store management. This includes using the CMMS system to book out parts and consumables and actively participating in both Spares and Tools audits.
- Actively report unsafe acts and conditions observed on site.
- Assist and be actively involved, where required, with the integration of site capital projects.
Qualifications (Essential):
- Electrical and/or mechanical trade certificate
- Proven experience of working with similar plant/equipment
- UK Valid Driver's License
Desirable:
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent would be advantageous
- Current relevant COMPEX certificates
- FLT/Telehandler license
Day shift role - Mon - Fri. The role requires a high degree of competence in plant operation, so it will include a routine operator training program. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing business.
