Altus Partners is delighted to be partnering with a leading private capital asset manager to appoint an Associate within its Structured Credit team. With over £2 billion in assets under management, this firm is recognised for its innovative investment strategies. The credit business is renowned for its entrepreneurial and agile approach to structured credit and asset-backed securities (ABS). This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing, fast-paced team and contribute to the full investment lifecycle—from origination through execution and portfolio management.
Investment Execution & Structuring
- Support the origination and execution of structured credit investments, primarily in ABS.
- Conduct credit and risk analysis across a range of asset classes, including SME financing, student loans, auto loans (including green ABS), and credit cards.
- Assist with deal structuring, modelling, and documentation, ensuring robust investment execution.
Portfolio Management & Monitoring
- Manage ongoing performance analysis and monitoring of credit portfolios.
- Prepare investment committee materials and contribute to internal decision-making processes.
Market & Regulatory Awareness
- Maintain a strong understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape and structured credit market trends.
Experience:
- 3–5+ years in structured credit at a bank, credit fund, or related institution.
- Private Credit Focus: Must have experience in private credit transactions—public-only experience will not be considered.
- Exceptionally high standards and strong commercial judgment.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and able to operate in a lean, high-performance team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine curiosity for complex credit structures.
