Job Description

Commercial Property Solicitor – 1-2 Years PQELocation: Didsbury, ManchesterEmployment Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: Competitive + benefits

I'm currently working with a well-established and expanding law firm based in Didsbury, Manchester, who are looking to welcome a Commercial Property Solicitor to their growing property team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior solicitor (around 1-2 years PQE) who's confident managing a caseload and eager to grow within a supportive, forward-thinking practice.

This role would suit someone who's already gained solid experience in commercial property and is now ready to take on more responsibility, while being part of a collaborative and client-focused environment.

The Role

As part of a growing and busy team, you'll handle a broad range of commercial property transactions from start to finish, while also supporting junior colleagues and contributing to the wider success of the department.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a varied caseload including freehold and leasehold sales, acquisitions, disposals, landlord & tenant matters, refinancing, and development work

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, titles, and legal documentation

  • Handling enquiries, conducting searches, and ensuring all transactions comply with legal and regulatory standards

  • Preparing and submitting Land Registry and SDLT documentation

  • Working closely with clients, agents, and other third parties to progress matters efficiently

  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members and assistants

  • Contributing to business development through excellent client service and relationship-building

What They're Looking For

  • Qualified Solicitor with 1-2 years' PQE

  • Solid experience across commercial property, ideally including some or all of:

    • Acquisitions & disposals

    • Landlord & tenant

    • Property development

    • Commercial finance & restructuring

    • Construction and property tax (desirable)

  • Comfortable managing your own files and working independently

  • Strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills
