A vacancy exists for a Brewing and Fermenting Manager Samuel Smiths is one of Britains few remaining longstanding independent breweries. It brews a broad range of high quality beers from all natural ingredients at the Old Brewery in Tadcaster, Yorkshire, which was established in 1758. PREFEFED Internationally recognised brewing qualification and/or science degree in a related field 3 years in a leading role in brewery environment 5 + years commercial brewing experience The ideal candidate should be passionate, enthusiastic, self motivated, reliable and have a keen interest in brewing DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee all aspects of the production process, from brewing, fermentation to maturation and filtration, ensuring quality and consistency in every batch. Yeast management Lead the brewing team, coordinating activities and ensuring production schedules are met. Develop and execute process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality. Maintain detailed documentation. Promote and enforce high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the team. Facilitate effective communication between the production team and wider external departments. Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to align with production schedules. Involvement in external audits to ensure quality standard are maintained. Take a lead role in new product development, and continuous product improvement. HOURS Monday to Friday 6am-2pm JBRP1_UKTJ
