Our client based in the Portsmouth area is looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager. For this role you would need to come from the welding/fabrication industry and have managerial experience, along with managing sites and quoting for works. Salary would be dependent on experience. Hours: 7am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday Experience and responsibilities: Welding/fabrication experience (welding inspection and competence or RWC qualification advantageous) Ability to read, understand and break down engineering drawings Tendering/Sourcing of work Answering customer enquiries by phone, email and face to face Overseeing jobs/ work sites, purchase ordering, liaising with suppliers, subcontractors & site contacts, machine maintenance, H&S, inspection of work. Proficient with ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and BS EN 1090. Experience with SafeContractor (or similar H&S accreditations) IT competence (excel, word, data entry and outlook) Strong leadership Proactive and driven individual Must hold valid driving licence Crane/Forklift experience advantageous Site qualification (or willingness to obtain qualification) CAD (3D) JBRP1_UKTJ
