Location: Hybrid Working – Home Based/Princes Risborough (4 days per month on site)

Salary: £50,000 – £56,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Contract: Fixed Term initially 6 months, with potential to become permanent

Hours: Full time – 35 hours per week

The Role:

We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join their dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will:

  • Lead treasury management, finance processes, and controls improvement.
  • Produce monthly management and annual reports and accounts.
  • Provide a high-quality, customer-focused finance service.
  • Oversee the association’s general insurance portfolio, VAT management, and banking relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all activities relating to company accounts, including annual reports and detailed financial interpretations.
  • Handle complex accounting, tax, treasury issues, and process improvements.
  • Refer policy and significant process changes to the Director of Corporate Services.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant – ACCA, CIMA, ACA (or equivalent).
  • Experience in managing a small team and preparing management and year-end financial accounts.
  • Skilled in developing monthly reporting packs for budget owners and senior managers.
  • Ability to resolve complex accounting problems and propose tactical financial solutions.
  • Experience in preparing VAT returns, ideally including partial exemption.

Skills:

  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication with staff, business managers, executives, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and management ability.
  • Advanced PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook proficiency.
