We are currently partnering with a South Wales based Housing Association, who are recruiting for a Reactive Maintenance Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
Our client is a small housing association, whose stock covers the length of the M4 corridor in South Wales, and are looking to take on a Surveyor to take full responsibility for their reactive maintenance and damp and mould surveying.
This is a full-time position with a £38,000 per annum and the start date is subject to notice.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Carrying out reactive maintenance and damp and mould surveys within domestic dwellings, largely within purpose built flats for elderly living
- Identifying causes of damp and mould
- Creating specifications for remedial works, and liaising with contractors to arrange
- Ensuring all works fall in line with WHQS
- Updating asset management databases with works that have been carried out, as well making a note of timelines for any cyclical maintenance
- Compliance: Planning and coordinating works for EICRs, FRAs, Gas Safety checks and managing the asbestos and legionella register
- Carrying out stock condition surveys as required
Experience required:
- Experience in Social Housing
- Experience dealing with tenants
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Damp and Mould knowledge
- A strong understanding of property compliance
Rewards and Benefits:
- 25 days annual leave, rising to 30 based on length of service
- Up to 8% pension contribution
- 3 days a week from home
Working hours:
- 35 hours per week
- Monday – Friday
