This is a varied role within a busy IT department, supporting large internal teams in new technology implementation, process and system upgrades whilst maintaining operational excellence.
- Manage and document technology system change requests, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Conduct risk and impact analyses to identify potential issues with proposed changes.
- Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Monitor testing progress, document results, and support issue resolution.
- Liaise with stakeholders, provide training, and conduct post-implementation reviews for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT change management and quality assurance, with a strong track record of managing change requests and ensuring smooth transitions within technology systems.
- Extensive knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes, including the ability to develop, execute, and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts to identify and resolve defects.
- Familiarity with change management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and project management practices, as well as hands-on experience with change management tools such as Jira and ServiceNow to track and implement changes effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, liaise with stakeholders, and provide clear documentation and training on change management and quality assurance best practices.
- Highly adaptable and detail-oriented, capable of managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality deliverables while maintaining compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of technologies relevant to the retail industry is a plus.
