We are currently seeking a dynamic Senior Preconstruction Project Manager (Senior Bid Manager – 2nd stage ) to join our Construction South team based in Weybridge, Surrey.
As the successful candidate, you will essentially manage the preconstruction bid process, project managing both internal and external resources to deliver successful bids, on time and to the highest quality. Coupled with ensuring our customers’ expectations are managed and, wherever possible, exceeded. Reporting in to the Preconstruction Manager.
With a proven track record of successful projects, you will be responsible for leading two-stage/negotiated tenders for projects ranging in value from £5m to £80m+ across a range of sectors, including Education, Leisure, Health, Blue Light, transport and Commercial. Worth noting that we operate through several frameworks, allowing for a greater probability of seeing your hard work come to life!
Essential and Desirable Criteria
- Proven experience as Bid Manager within the construction sector
- Experience of leading a bid team (including – Planners, Estimators, Design Managers, Building Services manager – as this will be the core team for getting the project into contract).
- Leadership experience within client team meetings
Experience in managing diverse technical input, understanding complex construction schemes and leading the bid process will help you thrive in this role. If you have previously worked in a technical construction role, including but not limited to Operations, Planning, Commercial, Design or Estimating this will help enable you to hit the ground running!
