Assistant Finance Business Partner
Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours, Monday to Friday)
Hybrid working with 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home
£40,000-£45,000 plus benefits

About the role
Joining our dynamic, knowledgeable Finance team, we’re looking for a customer focused, commercially minded individual. This is a new role created due to business growth and recent acquisitions of both subsidiary and associate businesses.
You’ll focus on developing relationships with key stakeholders internally and invested businesses, while providing thorough financial data analysis and insights to support decision making. This role will be wide-ranging, requires flexibility and will evolve as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
• Developing strong working relationships with invested businesses and internal stakeholders
• Working alongside business stakeholders and the MAB sales team to support business growth
• Supporting invested businesses with forecasting, modelling and reporting as required
• Providing financial analysis and insight on business performance
• Investigating and supporting the resolution of issues within invested businesses
• Supporting preparation, review and presentation of financial budgets and forecasts
• Attending investor reviews where applicable
• Supporting the FBP & SFBP with the Group’s forecast & budget process alongside the wider finance team
• Providing analysis and insight on financial projections and scenario modelling
• Preparing management information (MI) to provide insight and support decision making
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvements to modelling and MI
• Ensuring the integrity of financial models and projections through suitable controls and documentation
About You
Full training will be provided to ensure you can quickly get up to speed, but to be successful in this role you need to demonstrate:
• Finalist or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA
• Evidence of both financial and commercial finance experience
• Self-motivation with strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong IT literacy, in particular Microsoft Excel
• Hands on approach and proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Experience in preparing reports and analysis on the performance of a business
• Ability to work with large datasets and summarising complex information in a presentable and easy to understand format
• Experience of Financial Services beneficial
