About the Role:
A highly regarded Legal 500-recognised firm is expanding its Corporate Team in Newcastle. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior solicitor with a solid corporate background to contribute to a growing and dynamic department.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing a varied corporate caseload, supervising junior team members, and supporting business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist and supervise the Corporate Team with a range of corporate transactional work.
• Manage a high-quality corporate caseload, ideally bringing an existing client base or workload.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering first-class client care.
• Contribute to business development activities within the Corporate Team and the wider firm.
• Work on a variety of matters, including:
o Business and share acquisitions and disposals
o Management buy-outs
o Corporate refinancing
o Advising investee companies
o Group reorganisations
o Share buybacks
Key Requirements:
• Extensive experience in corporate transactions, including business and share acquisitions and disposals.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills with the capability to manage large caseloads and projects.
• Confidence in advising and working with clients at all levels, including directors and CEOs.
• A proactive approach to business development and growing the firm’s client base.
