Company: Confidential B2C Ecommerce Client
Location: Hybrid working, 2 days per week in office
Reporting to: CTO
This role is for a company focused on improving lives through scientifically backed supplements. Their flagship product is a market leader in its category, supporting the health and mobility of pets. With an ambitious mission, the company operates in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and has a track record of rapid expansion over the past two years. The goal is to become the most trusted brand in their sector globally.
The IT Manager will join a growing technology team dedicated to delivering customer-centric solutions and support for core business systems. The role includes building and managing a team of subject matter experts while overseeing key IT infrastructure and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee IT infrastructure, business applications, and end-user support services across the organisation.
- Manage the performance and relationship with external 3rd-party managed service providers.
- Act as a key stakeholder in managing 3rd-party vendor relationships.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, ensuring alignment with company procedures.
- Drive improvements in the technology landscape to reduce risks and stay updated with advancements.
- Manage the IT budget, optimising costs for technology services and solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical expertise for implementations and issue resolution.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Propose innovative solutions for process and cost efficiencies.
Key Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years in a senior technical role (e.g., Senior Technical Engineer, IT Lead, IT Manager).
- Leadership experience managing a small team of support engineers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (M365, MS Azure).
- Networking expertise (WAN, LAN, VPNs, Switching, Routing).
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems.
- Knowledge of infrastructure scripting (PowerShell, Python).
- Strong technical management skills and knowledge of hardware/software systems.
- A proactive and motivated approach to project delivery.
Desired Skills and Experience (Not Essential):
- Experience with RESTful APIs and scripting languages.
- Background in small, dynamic teams or eCommerce environments.
