Troi Search are delighted to be working exclusively with The Gym Group in their search for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join the team.

The Senior QA Engineer will play a key role in ensuring a seamless, high-quality digital experience for The Gym Groups 1 million members, by leading quality assurance efforts across the mobile app and digital platforms.

You\’ll work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to uphold and improve testing standards, with a strong focus on maintaining and evolving their mobile app test automation framework built on Appium.

Key requirements:

We’re looking for someone who can clearly demonstrate hands-on expertise across both automation and functional exploratory testing, with strong test planning skills and a quality-first mindset. You should have solid experience using key QA tools to a high standard on Mobile Apps, including:

• Appium
• Playwright
• Postman (API Platform)
• Confluence for test and project documentation
• Continuous Integration tools

Bonus Points for experience with:

• An object-oriented programming language such as C# or Java
• Lighthouse for performance testing (scripting and CI integration)
• Sonar for security analysis (scripting and CI integration)
• Lucidchart or Miro for visual test documentation
• Jira/Confluence or similar tools for managing user stories and sprint tasks
• BrowserStack or LambdaTest for mobile app testing
• Azure DevOps pipelines
