I am currently looking for a Mechanical / Electrical Fitter to join a globally recognised engineering business, in Bristol, on a rolling contract basis OR on a permanent basis. The role is based on a Monday to Friday day shift.
The Opportunity:
The opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the engineering sectors in the UK, that is expanding their heavy maintenance function, with a main focus on the servicing, maintenance and repair of transportation vehicles, to accommodate a large increase of workload due to recent contract wins and legacy work.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out work to the companies internal standards as requested by line managers.
- Mechanical and electrical fitment activities onto rolling stock vehicles.
- Ensuring all relevant paperwork for examinations and repairs is correctly completed to company standards.
- Adhering to health & safety and local safety policy requirements, and other safety and technical standards.
Candidate Essentials:
- Must have experience working within a transportation engineering environment (rail, automotive, HGV, PSV, aerospace).
- Experience within either mechanical or electrical installation / fitment.
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings/schematics.
- Competent in the use of hand-held tooling, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
- Full UK Drivers License.
