The Role
As a Client-Side Building Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in the strategic and operational management of the estate. You will be responsible for overseeing planned maintenance, refurbishment, compliance, and improvement projects across a broad range of property types. This is a varied and high-profile role with both autonomy and strong internal support, offering a mix of hands-on surveying and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional building surveying services across a diverse commercial estate
  • Manage planned and reactive maintenance projects, refurbishments, and asset improvement schemes
  • Provide technical advice on dilapidations, defect diagnosis, and compliance issues
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, internal stakeholders, and tenants
  • Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Support long-term estate strategy and sustainability objectives

About You

  • MRICS-qualified Building Surveyor (or working towards)
  • Solid experience in a commercial property environment
  • Strong understanding of building pathology, construction, and project delivery
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working autonomously and managing multiple projects
  • Experience in a client-side or consultancy role highly desirable
