The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Overseeing sales activities to drive business growth.
  • Understanding revenue objectives and ensuring the sales team adheres to strategies.
  • Conducting quarterly and annual performance reviews with direct reports.
  • Leading daily sales meetings involving sales, events, and marketing teams.
  • Representing the hotel at UK and international trade shows.
  • Coordinating with Global Sales offices and GSAs to communicate hotel needs and monitor results.
  • Maintaining knowledge of the competitive set and market developments.
  • Handling sales leads and proposals, ensuring response quality and timeliness.
  • Maximising booking conversions through effective sales techniques.
  • Handling some high-revenue enquiries personally.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 years in upscale or luxury hospitality.
  • Team management experience.
  • Proven success in revenue generation.
  • London hotel market experience (desirable).
  • Skills in hotel sales systems (desirable).
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
