The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Overseeing sales activities to drive business growth.
- Understanding revenue objectives and ensuring the sales team adheres to strategies.
- Conducting quarterly and annual performance reviews with direct reports.
- Leading daily sales meetings involving sales, events, and marketing teams.
- Representing the hotel at UK and international trade shows.
- Coordinating with Global Sales offices and GSAs to communicate hotel needs and monitor results.
- Maintaining knowledge of the competitive set and market developments.
- Handling sales leads and proposals, ensuring response quality and timeliness.
- Maximising booking conversions through effective sales techniques.
- Handling some high-revenue enquiries personally.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years in upscale or luxury hospitality.
- Team management experience.
- Proven success in revenue generation.
- London hotel market experience (desirable).
- Skills in hotel sales systems (desirable).
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
