Event Manager

An Event Manager is required for a busy and successful event organisation. The Event Manager will be a main point of contact for clients, help provide a full event management service, and attend events in the UK and overseas.

The right person will either have solid event experience or be a graduate with relevant event qualifications and some work experience in the industry. Strong communication and IT skills are essential for the role. The Event Manager will enjoy working in a busy environment with colleagues of all levels and be keen to develop further within the organisation.

The Event Manager will help manage in-person and online events, possess excellent business acumen, strong marketing and PR skills, and be an enthusiastic team player with excellent time management abilities. The role involves working for clients across various sectors. The Event Manager's duties may vary depending on experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Marketing, PR, copywriting, social media, online marketing
• Booking venues and accommodation
• Coordinating stand designs, contractors, caterers, equipment
• Managing registrations for events
• Ensuring compliance with insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations
• Producing venue plans
• Managing budgets
• Coordinating speakers
• Planning room layouts
• Overseeing junior and temporary support staff
• Managing media
• Creating printed and digital materials
