High-growth B2B events business seeks a dynamic and strategic-minded Head of Sales to lead their Sponsorship & Expo Sales team. Our client is in a major growth phase with significant investment across people and products.

As the Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in managing, coaching, and developing the team, ensuring they meet company KPIs and achieve ambitious sales goals. This role requires confidence in working towards aggressive strategic goals. As a front-line leader, you will serve as a beacon for the organization, providing guidance, foresight, and effective day-to-day management.

The role demands a comprehensive view of sales teams, requiring the implementation of strategies, tools, processes, and metrics that positively impact overall events revenue. The company aims to exponentially grow its Exhibition business over the next 3 to 5 years, and this role reflects their commitment to the vast opportunities the portfolio offers.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the MD to lead the team's strategic direction, including managing growth campaigns, execution, and delivery.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to innovate engagement strategies and provide top-tier solutions aligned with client objectives.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the Exhibition Sales Executive team and Strategic Delegate Sales team to high performance, ensuring achievement of KPIs and sales targets.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training to maximize growth opportunities.
  • Provide transparent forecasting and reporting to Senior Management, leveraging analytics and performance data to optimize resources, minimize risks, and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Drive the sales process, maintain control, and foster quality interactions with decision-makers.
  • Work with the MD and Executive Team to design and implement a cohesive business strategy across sales, marketing, and sales enablement teams.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8+ years of hands-on sales and C-level events management experience.
  • Proven track record of managing sizable revenue goals and teams.
  • Ability to adopt a metrics and data-driven approach to pipeline management with confident forecasting skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills to clearly and persuasively communicate value propositions.
