The Rewards:
Our client is offering an outstanding package starting with a £35-40k salary for the right appointment, additionally either tronc dividend/bonus will make up your package on agreement.
The Place:
Xpress is delighted to be working with this Glasgow-based business consortium, with a property based in the busy and vibrant area of Glasgow. As they gear up for the forthcoming year of continuous investment, they are now looking to recruit a new General Manager to head up and run this very busy bar and restaurant to take it to a next level.
The Job:
As General Manager, you will be taking responsibility and overseeing the operational running of this property, focusing on all sides of the operation with a very hands-on approach. Youll direct training, develop and trigger motivation within your team; delivering and maintaining standards to ensure the customer's needs are not only met but exceeded. Working closely with the business owner in further developing this property and repositioning where needed.
The Person:
You must have previous high-volume restaurant experience,a good strong understanding of working in a Glasgow centric business and be knowledgeable in driving a community-embedded operation where the local population counts. The role would ideally suit a current GM, or an experienced Restaurant Manager looking to take that next step up into general management. Skilled in succession management and team development is essential, as are excellent presentation and FOH skills which are also crucial. We see our next General Manager to be the one who delivers the personal touches and has a fine eye for detail, knowing what your guests look for and who will be creating cultures not just delivering the norm and essentially wants a future in such a location, investing your own time into the business and reaping its rewards.
