Maintenenace Manager – Reading – Up To 32K
Are you an experienced Maintenance professional with a passion for ensuring buildings are safe, functional, and up to the highest standards? We are looking for a Hotel Maintenance Manager to join our team and take charge of the daily upkeep and safety of the hotel.
This role involves a hands-on approach to maintaining the building, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards, and demonstrating exceptional attention to detail. If you have solid technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the stamina to thrive in a dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the hotel's structure and maintenance procedures.
- Monitor and manage water systems with Legionella knowledge.
- Oversee COSHH training and compliance within the team.
- Conduct basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment.
- Interpret technical manuals and drawings with ease.
- Communicate effectively with team members and contractors.
- Supervise and guide external contractors, ensuring proper sign-in and instruction.
- Manage and prioritise the Maintenance Log effectively.
- Collaborate with the General Manager daily to address priority tasks.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in hotel maintenance.
- Knowledge: Strong grasp of Health & Safety standards, electrical and plumbing systems, and machinery used in hotel upkeep.
- Skills: Demonstrated leadership, technical proficiency, and the ability to solve problems proactively.
Preferred Experience
- At least 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience (preferred but not essential).
Work Location
- On-site, ensuring a physical presence to address maintenance needs promptly.
