Contract: Full Time, Permanent Location: RAF Fylingdales, Pickering, YO18 7NT Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8:00AM to 16:15 and Friday 8:00-15:00 Salary: Up to £37,000 + Shift allowance of £7,400 for 70x 12.3hr shifts (Includes Days & Nights) Within VIVO we are currently recruiting for a Day Maintenance Electrician to undertake general electrical maintenance work in our power station at RAF Fylingdales. You will be required to undertake routine maintenance, fault findings and be able to efficiently operate the gas and diesel generators to provide power to the power station. Working within a maintenance team of 9 multi skilled technicians, you will be working to undertake general preventative and corrective maintenance on 2,000 HP natural gas fuelled generators and 4,000 HP diesel fuelled generators, and any associated ancillary electrical equipment including pumps, motorised valves and compressors. You will also be working with Allen Bradley PLCs, SCADA monitoring systems, portable electrical appliances and HV and LV distribution switch gears, as well as 110v and 50v battery systems. This role will require you to live within an hour of site in case of emergencies, and you will need a driver’s license as the site is not serviced by public transport. What you’ll need to do this role It is essential that you have previous experience in an electrical maintenance role, preferably within the power generation or heavy engineering industry. You will also be familiar with and be qualified in Wiring Regulations to BS7671 (C&G 2382-18), 18th Edition and preferably have a C&G 2391 in Inspections and Testing. It is essential that you have the ability to read and understand schematic wiring diagrams and have good IT skills. It is desirable that you have experience of operating within either an MOD or Construction/Property Maintenance environment. You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role. You must be a British citizen to be eligible for this role.
