Butler Rose Recruitment is delighted to support our client a leading manufacturer in the Plymouth area in their search for an experienced Indirect Procurement Specialist. This role requires a proactive and knowledgeable professional to take ownership of indirect spend, driving value through strategic sourcing, effective contract management, and cost-saving initiatives. Key Role Responsibilities: Manage competitive bids for indirect requirements Develop, negotiate, and maintain robust contracts with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and high service standards. Provide support to the Direct Purchasing Manager when needed, including acting as cover during their absence. Assist the Head of Purchasing in enhancing and executing purchasing strategies. Oversee the on-site integrated supplier team, managing service levels, cost-saving activities, and team performance. Identify opportunities to reduce indirect costs and lead projects from conception through to implementation, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key indirect suppliers. Identify and assess potential new suppliers, including options for dual sourcing.
