The quality inspector, engineering quality inspector, aerospace quality inspector
role will involve the following

Dimensional and visual inspection of precision machined components
-
Performing first off, FAIRS, intermediate and final inspection

Supporting the requirements for documenting and maintaining records for these activities

Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications,

Review and interpret route cards, process instructions, drawings and inspection procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances

Inspection, verification and certification of incoming material and sub-contract parts,

Using all types of standard measuring equipment

Use of CMM
-
Dealing with quality issues and delivering practical solutions on the shop-floor.

Working with reports in accordance with AS9102.
The successful quality inspector, engineering quality inspector, aerospace quality inspector would suit someone who is currently a quality inspector possibly working in engineering with around 5 years quality experience and looking to develop your skills. In this instance candidates would need to demonstrate exceptional skills/aptitude, have an aerospace background and be eager to further develop their career.
The will be one of a small team of quality inspectors reporting to the Quality manager and should be able to perform the role with minimum supervision and work as part of a team.
Candidates suited to this role are likely to have a related engineering background, City + Guilds/NVQ or equivalent qualifications and or specific quality related qualifications. Experience of operating CMM machines will be required for the role.
