An exciting opportunity for the right person in a small kitchen environment (a complement of 4). This is a hands-on position and sometimes you will be working on your own with a KP.
As a Senior Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and safety. Reporting to the General Manager, your role will involve leading a team, managing food production, and maintaining a positive culinary environment. Your core skills in cooking, hospitality, and culinary experience will be essential in creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests. With your premium skills in team management and supervising experience, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative kitchen atmosphere while upholding our commitment to quality and excellence. We are looking for an experienced chef who has at least 5 years' experience, either as a head chef or a sous chef prepared to look at taking on a new challenge. Ideally will have formal training.
Responsibilities will include :
Preparing and delivering quality dishes with a high standard of presentation
Menu design and costing – both regular dishes and specials
Cost control and gross margin maintenance
Maintaining health and safety standards in the kitchen
Stock control and ordering of supplies; controlling prices.
Managing staffing levels and rota's.
This is a Full-time, Permanent position. 45 hours/week.
