We are looking for a motivated and innovative therapist to join our team as a band 6 specialist SLT, delivering services to children in the School Years team, within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. You will be part of a large and supportive team comprising Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, therapy assistants and a well resourced admin team.

You will have access to a comprehensive programme of supervision and CPD. We will work closely with you to develop your own areas of clinical and operational interests., The Greenwich Children’s Integrated Therapies – Speech and Language Therapy service offer a range of services across three sub-teams: Early Years, School Years and Special Schools. Clinical specialist expertise is available across the whole service and includes: AAC, Autism, Deafness, DLD, Phonology, Dysphagia and SEMH. As the post holder you will:

  • independently manage a caseload whilst utilising knowledge and skills of colleagues

  • have opportunity to refine both assessment and intervention skills

  • work as part of a team with teachers, outreach services and other health professionals

  • support parent/carers and children/young people in all issues related to clinical care with support from more experienced colleagues

  • provide a specialist clinical and advisory Speech and Language Therapy service to children and young people with diverse speech, language and communication needs

  • work with Principal and Highly Specialist colleagues leading on service improvement plans
