JWR is currently recruiting for a Business Development / Account Manager for a leading, premium food service provider based in the Plymouth/South Hams area.

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding our client's customer base while strengthening existing contracts and relationships. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent customer relationships, addressing their product needs with a world-class, locally sourced, one-stop-shop product range.
As Business Development Manager, you will excel in delivering outstanding results for both our client and their customers. Your responsibilities will include negotiating pricing, reviewing purchasing needs and trends, up-selling additional products, and effectively managing customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- This is a field-based Account Manager role. You must have a full UK driving license to be considered.
- Manage existing and win new business within your defined geographical area.
- Achieve and exceed sales and cash margin targets and open profitable new accounts in-line with sales strategy.
- Maximise opportunities aligned with the sales strategy and set targets.
- Identify category gaps, set objectives, and successfully secure new sales to existing customers.
- Build great long-lasting relationships with customers to ensure our client is seen as a credible, trusted supplier.
- Proactively target new business, delivering best in class sales pitches and negotiations to secure new contracts.
- Manage reporting and forecasting performance.
