A key role in the region, the Benchtop Product Specialist will deliver demonstrations of the BC43 product in major accounts throughout designated region. Will work in combination with the Field sales organization and Regional Marketing to maximize presence, impact, and business results. The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality BC43/Imaris demonstrations to major accounts throughout designated region., Execute Sales strategy in concert with the Field sales team and Regional Marketing.

  • Generate new business through delivery of BC43 system demonstrations

  • Conduct workshops, seminars, and demonstrations in line with business strategy

  • Coordinate and demonstrate instruments in customer laboratories and utilize applications specialists as needed to fulfill complex customer application requirements

  • Provide customer training to maximise customer experience, satisfaction, and to build brand loyalty

  • Any other duties as may be reasonably be required from time to time by your line manager

The right candidate for this position will be experienced in using fluorescence microscopy and/or confocal microscopy for biological research, prior experience as a life science product specialist or service engineer with benchtop or microscopy instrumentation is highly desireable. We are looking for a highly motivate professional, who has a positive attitude that fosters a pro-active ethos in the rest of the team and department, and is ambitious for the business and the future of Andor Technology. You will take ownership and drive the volume and quality of field demonstrations of Benchtop Microscopy solutions, establish relationships with customers and strengthens this through clarity and competence, and will be flexible.

Additional Skills

  • Team-oriented, task oriented with attention to detail. Outstanding communication skills both verbally and written. Prior experience in making technical presentations.

  • Does "the right thing" and spends time understanding and meeting customer needs.

  • Very good interpersonal skills.

  • Consultative solutions selling experience

  • Ability to travel as required to meet the needs of the role which is expected to be at or above 70% of the time, with a majority of that time being overnight travel. Some International travel will be required.

  • Driver’s License required.

  • Able to work outside core hours when required.

  • Fluent in all Microsoft Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

  • Industry knowledge: acquire and maintain knowledge of full Andor product range and know where they fit in the market.
