As our Senior or Principal Engineer, you will be in a senior role within the core shoring team, providing and checking high quality designs. The core shoring team provides temporary works designs and technical support for the UK and Ireland.
We expect that you will have worked previously in a similar role. The seniority level of the job role will depend upon your experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- To manage the workload and take a leading role in the day to day operation of the engineering teams. Competence in both structural and geotechnical design.
- To produce high quality design solutions in a timely manner whilst ensuring all proposed designs are fully compliant with all current regulations and best practices.
- To design highly complex schemes (Cat3) and checking moderately complex schemes (Cat2).
- To provide supervision, training and mentoring to Graduate and Design Engineers.
- To be a key point of contact and technical support for our sales team and clients.
What we’re looking for
- You will have a minimum of 3 years experience with design of temporary works in accordance to relevant standards.
- You will be keen to help drive forward continuous improvements using your own ideas to improve the quality, accuracy and ease of design production.
- You will have the ability to organise your own time and others well.
- You will be driven to improve existing ways of working and contribute to the technical team in a collaborative way.
- Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD
- Design software (Wallap, CADs)
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.)
- IEng desirable but not essential (dependent on seniority)
- Full Driving License
