Learning Support Assistant (SEN) Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a fantastic ‘Good’ Ofsted rated SEN School based Chandlers Ford, Hampshire supporting pupils with SEMH. This is a great opportunity, to help enrich and develop vulnerable young peoples lives. You will be working with an excellent team and joining a fantastic provision where you can make a difference, playing a key role in the development of students. The successful candidate will be working with pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education and with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) The school offers a great vocational curriculum allowing students to express themselves amongst practical-work and creativity. Contract Details for Learning Support Assistant: Location: Chandlers Ford, Hampshire Position:Teaching Assistant Type of work Teaching Assistant, 1:1 / Small-Group Support Start date: September 2024 Contract type: Temp/Perm Full time/part time: Full-Time Minimum rate of pay: £85.15-95.00 per day Experience, Training and Qualifications needed for Teaching Assistant role: Previous Teaching experience is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire. Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous A passion for working with children with SEMH. Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities. You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
