Due to continued growth and success, they are seeking a talented Senior/Associate Structural Engineer to join their busy London office. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled engineer to take the lead on large-scale new build projects and advance their career within a forward-thinking, dynamic team. About the Role: As a Senior/Associate Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and delivering a variety of complex, large-scale projects, with a focus on reinforced concrete (RC) and steel design. You will be expected to provide technical leadership, liaise with clients, and mentor junior engineers while taking ownership of project deliverables. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-impact developments in both the commercial and residential sectors. Key Responsibilities: Take the lead on structural design for large new build projects, focusing on RC and steel structures. Manage projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring the technical quality and timely completion of designs. Be client-facing, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Provide technical expertise, offering solutions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Work collaboratively with other disciplines (eg M&E, architecture, etc.) to ensure an integrated approach to project delivery. Supervise and mentor junior engineers, supporting their professional development. Produce and review technical reports, calculations, and drawings, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy. Contribute to the business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and expanding the firm’s client base. Essential Skills and Experience: A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a UK consultancy, working on large-scale structural projects. Strong experience in designing RC and steel structures for new build schemes. Experience in managing projects from initial design through to completion with minimal supervision. Excellent technical knowledge and proficiency in structural design software. Comfortable in client-facing roles, with the ability to manage and nurture client relationships. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong leadership and project management skills, with a track record of delivering successful projects. Chartered status (MIStructE, MICE, or equivalent) is highly desirable, or actively working towards chartership.
