The purpose of this role is to lead the engineering service delivery supporting the Compliance Manager on the Department for Transport (DfT) facilities management contract within their geographical area of responsibility. The role is responsible for supporting all areas of engineering service delivery to all affected properties within the defined geographical area.
The role will provide operational leadership and direction to ensure compliance with service delivery obligations, support the Compliance Manager in management of the P & L, SLA’s and KPI performance measurement.
The role will provide leadership to all staff and key supply partners, inspiring performance excellence across all levels and in all engineering service delivery areas, working within the agreed commercial model and budgets and to drive innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in delivering a best-in-class soft service provision.
Candidates will be required to meet security checks (BPSS & NPPV Level 2) to work on the client premises.
Main Duties
To support the Compliance Manager in managing the engineering service delivery throughout their geographical area in line with contract obligations and service standards.To manage the engineering teams and ensure appropriate levels of resources are deployed with succession and development plans in place.Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with all statutory requirements and corporate policies including, but not limited to, Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, Environment & Sustainability and Employment Legislation.To embed a zero accidents culture of Health and Safety within the contractSupport the Customer Relationship & Experience Managers to liaise and communicate with senior client business unit representatives on all areas of engineering service delivery, performance improvement and service development.Ensure that the budget is adhered to, and all levels of expenditure are within the set contract targets.To drive performance levels across the region implementing

Relevant M&E qualification – e.g. BS 7671-18th edition, C&G/NVQ Mechanical/ElectricalExperience in management of remote engineering service delivery across a diverse multi-site portfolio.Excellent people communication skills: ability to manage and develop positive relationships with stakeholders.Awareness of best practice commercial and financial principles and P&L managementExperience in managing change projects within FM environments.IT literate in CAFM Information Management SystemsExperience in successfully working in a pressured and stressful environment.Good working knowledge of H&S related to TFM services.Relevant industry experience in an operational management: 3 years+Full UK Driving licence and ability to travel
