An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join a dedicated team in Nottinghamshire. This role focuses on supporting a small group of staff working in the Learning Disability (LD) specialism within a broader adult social work team.
You will bring expertise in managing complex casework and supporting staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery in line with best practices. The role offers hybrid working, but you must be able to attend the office at least two days per week, based in Beeston (NG9 2AL)., Provide guidance and supervision to a small group of social workers.
Oversee and manage complex casework, including safeguarding and risk management.
Support staff working in the learning disability and mental health specialisms.
Utilize specialist qualifications, such as Best Interests Assessor (BIA) or Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP), where applicable.
Lead on practice development and learning as a Practice Educator (Level 1).
Qualified Social Worker (Degree or equivalent in Social Work).
Registration with Social Work England.
Advanced qualifications: BIA, AMHP, or Practice Educator Level 1 (essential).
Proven experience managing staff and complex casework.
Expertise in Learning Disability and/or Mental Health social work.
Competitive hourly rate of £32.
