Who You Are
You are an individual with excellent communication and computer skills, ideally with call centre experience or an understanding of social care for the elderly. You must be comfortable working night shifts and have the ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies, including situations where you need to physically assist uninjured individuals using specialist equipment. A full manual driving license is required, as well as the ability to navigate both office and home-based environments. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding customer care, equality, and safety standards is essential. An enhanced Adults DBS is mandatory.
What the Job Involves
This position is based within the Carelink Team, delivering high-quality telecare services and emergency support to vulnerable adults 24/7. You will be responsible for professional call handling, responding to emergencies, and ensuring the accurate documentation of all customer interactions. This includes installing and maintaining emergency call equipment in customer homes and performing safe and well checks. Working exclusively night shifts from 23:00 to 07:00 on a rotational schedule, including weekends and bank holidays, you will provide immediate response and support to users in need, coordinating with various agencies as necessary. An essential part of your role is to ensure exemplary service delivery that supports independent living within the community. Support and comprehensive training will be provided, and you will operate out of the Gatehouse on Kedleston Road, Derby.
