Position: Finance & Business Intelligence Manager Location: Remote / London, UK About Sheep Inc. Sheep Inc. is a forward-thinking knitwear brand built around sustainability, innovation, and a data-driven approach. We are seeking a Finance & Business Intelligence Manager to support our CFO & COO in two key areas: Managing our financial planning and analysis including supervision of day to day accounting and uncovering business insights that will drive growth and increase efficiencies. This role is essential to shaping our strategic direction by providing relevant data to executives to support better decision making across all functional areas in the business. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Accounting: Manage day-to-day accounting and financial processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and financial statements. Oversee invoice and payables management for timely and accurate processing. Own and continuously improve the business model, producing financial projections and forecasts. Manage tax-related matters, including compliance, reporting, and liaising with tax authorities. Develop internal best practices and leverage competitive standards to build world-class finance practices. Data, Analytics & Business Intelligence: Work with heads of departments to identify key business drivers, track department-specific KPIs, and translate data into actionable insights for management, ideally setting up regular automated reports when business drivers are discovered. Maintain and enhance business intelligence tools to ensure data accuracy and relevance to drive performance. Support the product team in managing ERP and WSSI systems to maximise financial and operational visibility, focusing on inventory, stock, and COGS accounting. Develop and refine dashboards for performance tracking and support data-driven decision-making. Conduct complex financial analysis and present findings to senior stakeholders. Innovative Problem Solving: Develop and manage best practice systems to support financial operations. Contribute to company-wide problem-solving initiatives. Provide financial insights to support other business functions, including marketing, supply chain, and inventory management. Ideal Candidate Profile Education & Certification: CMA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification in the UK preferred. Experience: 5+ years in finance, accounting, or business intelligence roles, ideally in a consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce environment. Skills: Strong accounting and controlling background. Proficiency in using systems and tools for financial modelling, analysis of multiple large datasets, data visualisation and reporting. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency; experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) is desired. Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to distil complex data into actionable business insights. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distil and report findings to non-financial stakeholders. Experience in inventory, cost accounting and ERPs is desirable. Adaptability to the fast paced working environment. Mindset: Forward-thinking, innovative, and data-driven.
