Group Finance Director

Are you an experienced Finance Director from the manufacturing sector? Do you have a CIMA or ACCA qualification? We’ve been retained by a highly reputable manufacturer in Glossop who, due to recent growth, are looking to strengthen their finance function by recruiting a new divisional FD. A key player in the C-suite, you’ll be a partner to the Managing Director and together you’ll collaborate with the senior leadership team to meet financial objectives which will elevate the business further. You should also have worked in a global organisation. You’ll be looking for a role where you can join and stay for many years, making an impact on the finance strategy. Ideally, you’ll be degree educated with a relevant accountancy qualification such as CIMA or ACCA. It’s essential that you’ve got a background in manufacturing – a strong understanding of costings and US GAAP is important. You’ll be an inspiring leader and someone who wants to drive the finance function forward – nurturing your team and developing them in their careers. Working as a partner to the MD, you’ll thrive in this role where collaboration is key; you’ll work on strategic projects across all areas of the business. About The Job You’ll join as Finance Director and will be responsible for the finance function for the UK division. You will head up a multi-discipline team encompassing transactional finance, IT and purchasing. As part of the leadership team, you’ll guide the business on financial strategy – developing new policies and procedures, budget control and reporting. You’ll develop and implement an internal audit programme, ensuring compliance with financial and statutory regulations. Your responsibilities also including reporting, analysis and risk management. There will be UK travel involved in your role at least twice per month and occasional US and EU travel. About The Company A well-known manufacturer in their field with a global presence.
